Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026. By using ValueLab you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What ValueLab is

ValueLab provides free educational finance calculators and sells a paid digital product, the Valuation Toolkit ($5 one-time). The calculators are free to use with no account required.

2. Not financial advice

Everything on this site, including calculator outputs, explainers, FAQs, and the Valuation Toolkit spreadsheet, is for education only. It is not investment advice, not a recommendation to buy or sell any security, and not a substitute for professional financial advice. We are not a registered investment adviser. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions: do your own research, verify inputs against real financial statements, and consider consulting a licensed professional before investing.

3. Using the calculators

Calculator results depend entirely on the assumptions and inputs you supply, and all projections are illustrative, not predictions. The tools are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work to keep the math correct, but we do not guarantee that any output is accurate, complete, or suitable for your purpose.

4. The Valuation Toolkit license

Buying the Valuation Toolkit ($5 one-time) gives you a single-user, non-transferable license to use the Excel model and included materials for your own personal investing and learning. You may not redistribute, resell, share, or publicly post the files. The license is yours permanently once purchased; there are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.

5. Refunds

The Toolkit comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied within 30 days of purchase, reply to your purchase receipt email to request a full refund, no questions asked. The free calculators are free; there is nothing to refund.

6. Intellectual property

The site's text, design, logo, images, calculators, and the Toolkit files are the property of ValueLab and are protected by copyright. You may link to our pages and quote brief excerpts with attribution, but you may not copy the site wholesale, rebrand it, or present it as your own.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no scraping at abusive rates, no attempts to disrupt the service, and no use of the content to mislead others into thinking it is professional financial advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ValueLab is not liable for any investment losses, decisions made using this site, or indirect and consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, which is at most $5.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, where ValueLab operates.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date, and your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept them.

Educational tools, not financial advice. If any part of these terms conflicts with how you planned to use the site, the safe move is the same one we repeat everywhere: do your own research before investing.
